Aero Peek is a cool new feature in Windows 7. All you have to do go over to the task bar for a second or so and everything hides so you can see the desktop.
As you can tell it is a very useful feature. If you don’t like it you can disable it. Go to the taskbar and right click on it and go to properties
Remove the checkbox from “Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop”.
If you like using it you can use this registry hack below to adjust the Aero Peek delay. Open up regedit.exe through the start menu search or the run box and browse to the key below
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
On the right frame find the key called DesktopLivePreviewHoverTime, you might have to create a new DWORD if it doesn’t exist, double click on it to edit it. Switch the Base to Decimal. To make Aero Peek run faster we will need to change the Value data to a smaller number, just remember it is in milliseconds. To make it instant switch it to 0. Log off and log back in before it takes affect.
