How to Enable GPU Acceleration or GPU Rendering in Google Chrome 8 or Higher

Google Chrome 8 comes with a new experimental features page that allows user to enable or disable some cool features. On of those feathers are the GPU Acceleration, or in other words Hardware Acceleration. By default this is turned off.

The steps below will show you how to enable GPU Acceleration, but becareful. This are considered experiments and they may bite.

How To

First open Chrome and type “about:flags” with out the quotes into the address bar. Search the page for GPU Accelerated Compositing and WebGL and click on Enable fore each one.

Then restart! If you want to disable this just go back and click disable on GPU Accelerated Compositing and WebGL.
