WHILE I AM WATCHING VIDEOS IN FULLSCREEN, FOR EXAMPLE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, MY LAPTOP FREEZES AND I LOSE ALL ABILITY INTERACT WITH IT AND I AM FORCED TO HARD RESTART. THIS PROBLEM DEVELOPED NOT TO LONG AGO, APPROXIMATELY 2-3 WEEKS AGO, IF THE TIME FRAME MIGHT BE RELEVANT.
Please make sure you update your question with the operating system and type of laptop you are using. Kind of hard to determine what is wrong if we don’t have those points.
Sorry about that, the laptop is an Acer Aspire V3-572PG and the os is Win 7 Pro.
Have you updated your graphic card driver recently? It may also be a problem with flash causing a problem.
Yes, my graphics card drivers are currently up to date. To specify my problem a little further after testing a few things, my laptop does not crash every time I set videos to fullscreen, but it happens quite often. I typically use Google Chrome, but my laptop has also froze when I used fullscreen on Firefox and IE.
I was reading more about your issue and it may be a defect in the actual hardware that is causing problems or some third party application: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/56908421-0616-45ab-892d-36c606482c40/acer-aspire-v3572g-frequent-random-freezingcrashing?forum=w8itprogeneral
Did anything in the article help you? I would like to see the system log files to if possible.
This question will be marked as answer tomorrow if a response isn’t given. Thank you
