Microsoft doesn’t offer that many iPhone integration options for their hotmail, live, or msn accounts. You can go to their mobile website but sometimes that isn’t good enough. Here is how you can set up push hotmail, live, or msn to your iPhone.
Setting up Microsoft Email
First thing you want to do is select Settings and go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars form the setting menu and click add account. Then select Microsoft Exchange.
After selecting that enter your Windows Live mail account, either hotmail, msn, or live account under Email field and Username. Then enter your password. You can change the description from the default to something more descriptive. Then click next to start the verifying process.
Your iPhone will then ask you enter a server name. Enter “m.hotmail.com” without the quotes into the server field and hit next again.
Give it a couple of minutes, it can take a while. If it fails make sure you have the right email, username, password, and server name.
Then select what services you want, either mail, contacts and calendars and click save.
That’s it, have fun with your mobile hotmail.
