When you have a really big Excel workbook with tons of spreadsheets inside it can get really hard to keep track of all the little things that get added along the way. Especially shapes and objects. Since you can hides these it becomes even harder to find them. The problem with them is they can start to slow down your workbook especially if there are a bunch of them. They can also over inflate your workbook file making it more of a hassle to store or to share via email. Here is a quick Excel how to, to remove these hidden shapes and objects that only takes a couple of seconds.
Remove Hidden Shapes or Objects with this Easy Excel How to
Before we can remove this hidden shapes we first have to find them and luckily for us finding them is going to be really easy. Just open up the workbook that you want to find the shapes on, and on the home ribbon menu go to the binoculars, or Find & Search, over to the right and click the drop down. You will want to select Selection Pane on the bottom of the content menu.
When you click it you will get a new menu to the right. This menu called the Selection Pane lets you select the visibility of the shapes or objects in your workbook. If you want to select one just click on it.
If you want to show all of them and or hide them you can click the buttons on the bottom to do so. To remove the shapes or object just click on the name and press delete.
