A new version of iREB for all iOS 4.1 devices is now available for download. This new update lets you bypass 1604, 1603, 1602, 1601 and 1600 errors in iTunes during custom iOS 4.1 firmware restore which are created by using either Sn0wbreeze or the PwnageTool.
Here is how you do it.
First put your iOS device into DFU mode by following this Youtube video:
Your iPod will remain black, START iREB, link below, and select your iOS device.
Wait until iREB is done then open iTunes and select your custom firmware by pressing Select on Windows and ALT on Mac on Restore on iTunes.
Hopefully this will fix your problem.
