When you right-click on your desktop and go over to the New, you can create new files by using the New content menu. Sometimes the New Context menu can be slow, supper slow depending on how much items are there. Here is an example of what a typical one looks like.
As you can tell I have a punch of items there, which slows down the New context menu. Lucky for us there is a quick and easy way to edit this with help from a little app called ShellNewHandler.
This app only works on Windows Vista or Windows 7, so if you don’t have either one, sorry might be time to upgrade. Anyways download and extract ShellNewhandler, link below and fire it up. You will be greeted with a super easy interface that lets quickly select or deselect what items to show in the new context menu.
After you are finished click OK, or Apply, and try out your new context menu.
