Windows 10 is out. Many of you have had a chance to try it out during the technical preview, but now we have the full blown version and all of its glory. Well that is if Windows 10 is truly better than Windows 7. I’ll leave you guys to be the judge of that. In any case, learning a new operating system can be a real bummer, luckily for you all we have some awesome Windows 10 tips and tricks. For our first one we will show you how to change the default apps in Windows 10.
Changing Default Apps in Windows 10
Similar to other version of Windows, Windows 10 lets you change the default applications in your operating system. This includes the mail app, internet browser, and photo application. To change these we will need to go to the Setting screen. Head over to the start menu, I know right a start menu in Windows 10, and click on Settings.
The Windows Setting app will open. From here will want to go to System setting. Click on the icon for System to continue.
Under the System settings scroll down on the right pane until you see Default Apps. You will want to click on it. Over in the left pane you will see the Choose default apps screen. Here we can click the buttons under each one to change them. Scroll down more to see the other apps that are selected by default.
If you are not happy about your selections or just want to go back to the default settings, scroll down to the bottom and click Reset. This will reset your default apps and restore Microsoft recommended defaults.
That is it. Remember this is one way to change your default applications in Windows 10, just a simpler way.
