How to map SkyDrive to Windows 7, and even download the official SkyDrive app for Windows 7. The only problem is that all of these articles are for Windows only. If you are a Mac user and want some type of online storage solution, you are probably using Dropbox. Dropbox seamlessly integrates into the Mac allowing super easy access to your online storage. Unlike SkyDrive, Dropbox just works, until now. Microsoft released a SkyDrive application just for the Mac. Here is how to download SkyDrive app for Mac OS X Lion.

All you have to do is go to the Microsoft SkyDrive app download section, link below, and download the installer. After you are finished downloading it, launch it. You will be at the Welcome to SkyDrive page. Click Get started to continue.
You will need a Windows Live ID to continue. If you don’t have one click the Sign up link at the bottom. Otherwise enter your information and click Sign in.
By default SkyDrive folder will be under your Home directory. If you do not want it there, you can click Change path to set the SkyDrive folder somewhere else. When you are done, or happy with the default settings, click Done to proceed with the install.
After you are done with selecting the path or keeping the default, the installer will be finishes. Go over to your menu to see a new SkyDrive menu item. Click on it to see that stats of your SkyDrive or to open the SkyDrive folder.
