Free iPhone App: Ace Budget

How do you know if you’re saving or spending more each month?  Do you even know where your money is going?  As Dave Ramsey would say, “Most people buy things they don’t need with money they don’t have to impress people they don’t even like.” Are you one of these people? I hope not.

If you’re a person who wants to start a monthly budget or is already keeping a money journal, then I suggest you try this free iPhone application - Ace Budget.

When it comes to money and building wealth, your grandparents were right.  There is no easy way to building wealth.  No such thing as quick fix.  It’s hard work, patience, and sacrificing things today so you can have more tomorrow.   If you want to live during your retirement with dignity, start saving now!  One of the absolute requirements is to start a budget.   When you’re on your way to building your wealth, remember that 20%  is head knowledge and 80% behavior.

Ace Budget is very simple and intuitive.   It’s easy to use.  You enter your monthly budget, then you track it throughout the month.  The purpose of this application is to find out if you are spending more than you are earning.  Your income is your most important wealth-building tool. Your income is like a pie you bring home each time you receive your paycheck.   When you get home, do you have other people wanting a slice or two?   You’re a slave to the lenders, the people you owe money to (Visa, Master Card, Car Payments, Loans, etc.)

So, next time you start that subscription, or upgrade to that faster cable internet connection, or getting that flat screen TV from Best Buy, or that habit of dining out too often, ask yourself… do we need to be doing these stuff?  You may be surprise.  The sooner you bring home that pie without anyone else wanting a slice or two, the sooner you can start investing your money.   Your invested money will eventually pay for your house mortgage, children’s college fund, and your retirement!

I suggest that when you first start to use this application to begin on the 1st of the month.

If you have an iPhone, try this free application and let us know what you think!

This app definitely hits the home run for me. I have an excel version which I have been using way before iPhone was in production. But having a similar budgeting on a iPhone is great! I can actually do budgeting in small doses on the go.
